The Director Metallurgical/Chemical Research Centre (DMCRC) is responsible to the DG DRDB for the following:
1. Coordinate research into the provision of complete materials solution to defence systems.
2. Develop advanced materials, innovative processes, technologies and carry out related product engineering supported by basic and applied research.
3. Develop a robust research in metals and chemicals.
4. Develop product engineering, production support and performance analysis of metals, alloys and chemicals.
5. Design and development of specialty alloys, inter-metallics, ceramics and composites.
Deputy DIRECTOR Metallurgical/Chemical Research Centre
The Deputy Director Metallurgical/Chemical Research Centre(DDMCRC) is responsible to the DMCRC for the following:
1. Assist in coordinating research into the provision of complete materials solution to defence systems.
2. Assist in the development of advanced materials, innovative processes, technologies and carry out related product engineering supported by basic and applied research.
3. Assist in the development of a robust research in metals and chemicals.
